foto_davydova1.jpgMarina Davydova, born in Russia, studied at the Faculty for Theatre Criticism at the public theatre institute GITIS and write her doctorate on English Tragedy in the post-Renaissance period. She taught Western European Theatre History at various institutions as well as theatre criticism at the State Russian University for the Arts and Humanities. Author of a monograph on Russian Theatre History. At the present time Marina Davydova works as a theatre critic for Izvestia and as theatre editor for the website www.openspace.ru. She is the artistic director of the Festival for Contemporary European Theatre in Moscow.
