Anica Tomić, born in 1980 in Zagreb, Croatia, is a theatre director, writer and actress. She studied Theatre Direction at the Academy for Dramatic Art in Zagreb and at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as Croatian Studies and Comparitive Literature Studies in Zagreb. She has appeared as an actress in many films and theatrical performances. Sie founded the theatre group Theatre de femmes (1995-2002), for which she works as an author, director and actress. Since 2005 she has carried out directorial work for various Croatian theatres, including directing several plays for children. In 2010 she was awarded a scholarshp as a Writer in Residence from KulturKontakt Austria.
