Insa Wilke, born in 1978, studied German Studies and History in Göttingen, Rome and Berlin. She held a traineeship in Literature Management in the Literature Centre Göttingen. In 2009 she completed her doctorate in the subject of Contemporary German Literature. Since 2009 she has been an academic assistant in the Institute for German and Dutch Philology at the Free University Berlin. She writes as a literary critic for DIE ZEIT newspaper, the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper and ZEITonline, amongst others.
